Cheese Competition

The Competition will be judged at Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant on Saturday 20 September 2008 (closed judging)

Cheeses from around Australia are entered into this highly acclaimed cheese competition with the number of entries increasing each year. In 2008 we are pleased to announce that Derrick Casey, General Manager Regency International Centre, TAFE SA will be leading the panel of esteemed judges as Chief Judge.

The competition will be held at Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant where around 25 judges will smell, prod and taste over 200 cheeses to determine the gold medal winners announced at the Festival.

Entry details

Enter your cheeses into the Cheese Competition. All Australasian cheese businesses are eligible to enter.

Entry is only $20 (incl GST) per cheese.

The Grand Champion will be eligible to enter the 2009 Grand Dairy Awards.

Cheeses will be judged at Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant and each cheesemaker that enters the competition will be allocated a complimentary booth at the Cheese Lovers' Alfresco Gourmet Festival on Sunday 21 September 2008.

The gold medal winners and the Champion cheese of show will be announced on stage at the Cheese Lovers' Alfresco Gourmet Festival.
