We are delighted to be partnering with RAA, Foodland, Great Wine Capitals of the World, Farquhar and Sprout ADL to bring you the Cheese & Wine Masterclasses, and Celebrity Cooking Demonstrations.

The Foodland Cooking Demonstrations is a curated program of culinary demonstrations with a Cheese focus along with some special wine tastings showcasing South Australia's status as a major contender in the international wine space.

Through our Cheese & Wine Tasting Program, supported by the Great Wine Capitals of The World, you will not only learn about the different member countries, but most importantly, taste their wines and learn the art of matching local and international cheese styles with these great wines.

All presented by the talented Callum Hann and Themis Chryssidis from Sprout ADL against the backdrop of the positively gorgeous Farquhar kitchen container. These demonstrations and masterclasses are not to be missed!

    "In this step by step Cheesemaking Demonstration - Gaetan Chapon will
    take us through the 'Silver Wattle' affinage.

    A fabulous lactic fermented cheese, Gaetan will outline and show you three progressions of the maturation process, paired with glass of crisp Coriole Prosecco NV

    -Silver Wattle Day 1 (Fromage frais, Fresh Curd): Lactic, citrucy, super
    fresh perfect with Salmon, bagel, a steak, a salad, during summer.

    -Silver Wattle Day 30 (Time of commercialisation for retails and shop) Perfect for a portionable piece of chalky, fudgy, fresh and Lactic mild cheese

    -Silver Wattle Day 60 (At best before) (Arguably the best time! Pungent, decadent, oozie and salty)

    All 3 ages of the cheese adapted to different times of year, pairing, type
    of people and palates.

    Wine Masterclass

    Faults & Finesse: A Wine Lovers Masterclass

    Don't leave choosing your next bottle up to chance, tips from two of the top wine minds in South Australia.
    This exceptional masterclass is led by wine experts Tony Love (our famous wine, food and lifestyle journalist) and Dr Wes Pearson (Sensory Scientist @ Australian Wine Research Institute and winemaker for Juxtaposed Wines in
    McLaren Vale) who will pour you the perfect glass of wine, while teaching you how to recognise some of the most common wine faults. These two experts will line up a series of faulty wines for you to examine next to your flawless drop.

    Wine: Coriole Stonewall 2023 Grenache.

    This masterclass will include more traditional wine faults as well as some that are more unique to Australian wines.

    Masterclass includes wine tasting, small cheese platter, and a crisp
    Lenswood apple for palate cleansing.

    "Leftover cheese? Not in Mandy Hall’s kitchen! Mandy, MasterChef alumni and the Director behind the new End Food Australia campaign , is here to show us how those little cheese bits and rinds can be transformed into a dish that’s nothing short of mind blowingly tasty. And that’s not all—Michael Stratford from LOBO Cider will dive into how cider turns unloved apples into liquid gold, sharing the secrets behind its irresistible flavour.
